Students and staff can access the SCSD File Server from Windows and Mac computers. The server address is:
The following provides detailed instructions on how to access the SCSD File Server on Windows and OS X or macOS (Mac) operating systems. NOTE: The Windows instructions below use Windows 7 screenshots, but the instructions are similar for other versions of the Windows operating system.
Depress the Windows Key and R simultaneously
Type two backslashes followed by the address for the SCSD File Server in the field after "Open:" and click "OK"
IMPORTANT: You must use backslashes ( \\ ) and not forward slashes ( // )
Enter the user name and password and click "OK"
NOTE: You might need to include the server name in the user name field (see below)
To log off of the server, simply click on the "Start" menu and choose "Log Off"
OS X or macOS (Mac) Computers
Click on the "Go" menu and select "Connect to Server..."
Enter the address for the SCSD File Server in the field below "Server Address:" and click "Connect"
Enter the name and password and click "Connect"
Choose the appropriate volume to mount mount (usually the same as the name entered in the previous step) and click "OK"
To log off of the server, simply drag the server icon on the desktop to the Trash or just log off of the computer
